Emily Eve Weinstein, was born in Newburgh, NY in 1955. First ten years lived in East Islip, NY. With her folks moved to Greece and then France. Formal art studies began at Academie Charpentier in Paris, then West Surrey College of Art in England and Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA...BFA from VCU. Has lived in the Triangle, NC since 1982.

Work experiences include four artist-in-residencies (Oregon, Nevada, New York and North Carolina); teaching portraiture, landscape painting, mixed media, mural painting, faux finishes; originating two businesses, Pet & People Portraiture and Murals-By-Many. Weinstein also lived in a van/studio for three years while painting the unwinding scenery of America. Currently teaches plein air painting at Carrboro Art Center.

Update - 1/10/17: Weinstein has finished the design and execution of Volumes I through VII of the 25-year Handmade Book series which will follow the artistic career and life of the artist till age 79. Subscriptions and solo copies are now available.
